Jim Sturdivant represents and defends clients in criminal and white collar matters.
A former federal prosecutor, he represents individual and corporate
clients facing federal grand jury and law enforcement investigations, as
well as securities fraud allegations. Jim Sturdivant also assists businesses,
professional, governmental and nonprofit organizations on strategies to
avoid becoming the target of an investigation, and he aggressively
represents his clients at trial. In addition to white collar cases,
Jim Sturdivant’s state court criminal practice focuses primarily on alcohol and

Jim Sturdivant has a portfolio
of civil litigation matters including estate litigation, litigation
against governmental entities, professional licensure proceedings and
commercial disputes. Jim Sturdivant is the assistant
US Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, representing the United States
in a wide variety of civil cases and he has prosecuted numerous federal criminal
cases.
